Field notes
- South Pars Phase 11 is approaching full production output.
- The offshore drilling campaign has reached its midway point.
- The phase sits in Iran's portion of the South Pars/North Dome field shared with Qatar.

South Pars Phase 11 is approaching full production capacity as its offshore drilling campaign passes the halfway point, Offshore Magazine reports.
The project, located in the Iranian portion of the South Pars/North Dome gas condensate field shared with Qatar in the Persian Gulf, has reached the midpoint of its offshore drilling program, according to the report. Full output from the phase now appears within reach as the remaining wells move toward completion.
South Pars Phase 11 is one of the late-stage developments in Iran's flagship gas field, which supplies feedstock to domestic consumption and petrochemical plants along the Iranian coast. The phase had previously progressed in fits and starts, with earlier operatorship changes and sanctions-related contractor withdrawals slowing the schedule before the current drilling push advanced the work.
The report did not specify a firm date for when the phase would reach nameplate capacity, nor the exact number of wells remaining in the drilling program.
What to watch: further well completions at Phase 11 and any official statement from the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) on the timing of full-rate production from the phase.
