The Ilsky refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai has halted operations following a Ukrainian strike, according to a report by The New Voice of Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel Fire Point, which tracks fires and damage at Russian energy and industrial facilities.

The strike knocked the plant offline, removing another fuels producer from Russia's southern refining base. Krasnodar Krai, which sits on the Azov-Black Sea corridor, has hosted repeated Ukrainian long-range attacks against refining and export infrastructure since the start of the campaign targeting Russian downstream assets.

Ilsky, operated near the village of Ilsky in the Krasnodar region, is a mid-sized refinery serving domestic fuels demand and regional diesel and fuel oil supply chains. The reported halt follows a pattern of Ukrainian strikes that have, at various points since early 2024, forced shutdowns or partial outages at Russian refineries including Ryazan, Novoshakhtinsk, Syzran and Volgograd, tightening domestic diesel and gasoline balances and prompting export curbs from Moscow.

Fire Point reported the stoppage at Ilsky without specifying the extent of damage to processing units, the timeline for restart, or whether the halt covers the full crude distillation capacity or a partial shutdown.

For regional product markets, the loss compounds pressure on southern Russian supply logistics. Krasnodar Krai's refining cluster — including the larger Slavyansk-on-Kuban and Afipsky plants — has absorbed multiple strikes; each successive outage forces rerouting of product via rail from Volga and西北 federal district refineries.

The operational watch item remains restart timing at Ilsky and whether Russian operators can restore runs within the typical two-to-six-week repair window seen after previous strikes, or whether unit damage extends the outage into the seasonal maintenance cycle.
